AS940 Sherpa - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️Purchased from Glen at Steep Terrain Mowing and Slashing. Currently have just over 70hrs on the clock so have done the major 50hr service which I had Glen come out and do so I could be confident in doing the future servicing myself. I also did extensive research on competing brands prior to purchase and felt confident this was the machine for us. We are located in Cooroy QLD with 30 acres of steep hills that were completely overgrown with everything from lantana to camphaloral saplings and everything inbetween. The sherpa handles it very well and I cannot fault its ability. I honestly do not know any other mower that could climb out of the some of the situations I have put this into. I did opt for the extra bash plates on the mower deck to help protect against rock damage and prolong its life. Final note: for me, when I spend around 20K on a personal property mower not only do I need to feel confident in the machine manufacturer but also the company it was purchased through. Glen is top notch, knows and operates these machines commercially and is always quick to reply if I have had any questions. Chris

German engineering at it's best - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I have researched 4WD mowers extensively prior to purchase and decided on the Sherpa even though it might be a bit pricier. I've had it for 100hrs during which time it worked on severly hilly slopes and acres cutting setteria grass with lantana, saplings and other weeds in-between (Rural NSW). The machine handles extremely well on slopes - some slopes up to 40 degrees. We cut our paddocks routinely. I find this machines super powerful and able. I had several breakdowns because the Sherpa was hammered with its surrounding and our demands of it.I mounted a bush bash plate to protect the front of the machine. We have reclaimed brush which has not seen any blades ever and were able to clear much land around us. The Sherpa tackles any obstacles with ease but any machine will take a beating and will need repair (eventually). I bought the machine through Valley Pumps and Reg and his team are super supportive. I do all my maintenance and service on the machine myself and also the repairs. I was given access to the AS Motor Maintenance Manual which clearly instructs of how to perform maintenance and repairs. It's a photo based manual so repairs are really possible and easy to understand. I had to replace the drive belt tensioner drive belt and other components. I find mechanical work on this machine to be possible if you have some basic mechanic experience. Valley Pumps have the spare parts and normal Briggs and Stratton service parts (oil filer, air filter etc) I purchase on eBay. I have changed the transmission oil, all belts and blades and do motor services routinely. It is an extremely well built piece of gear with the possibility to maintain it yourself. I can highly recommend this 4WD. I am extremely happy with my choice. Geert

Unbelievable Machine - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I purchased my Sherpa from Steep Terrain Mowing and Slashing and Glen supplied very good and informative service. He came to my property and gave me a demonstration of the Sherpa AS940 XL and after that demo I was sold on how good the machine really is. Just coming up to 40hrs of operation and cant fault the machine. I've got some pretty steep terrain that hadn't been cut for several years and the Sherpa handled it without any issues at all. Would recommend to anyone wanting a 4WD machine. Russell

Incredible machine - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️We purchased our Sherpa from Glen at Steep Terrain mowing and slashing, First of Glens customer service is the best I've experienced in a long time. Secondly this machine is almost unstoppable From thick Green grass over one meter tall to lantana bushes twice the size of the mower it eats it all with out hesitation. Our property is very very step and the Sherpa continues to surprise us in its ability's which we are pushing to the limit! We have rolled the machine twice on incredibly steep areas both times with out a scratch on us or the robust machine all we had to do was roll it upright fire it up and away it goes again. Ash F

Oh what a Feeling - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️My Sherpa AS 940 XL has only done 27 hours but i am amazed at what it will do. I live on a very undulating 40 acre property that has not been slashed in over 2 years and this machine is doing a unbelieveable job, i keep driving it into thicker and thicker growth and wondering what will stop it, have stalled it a couple of times on very large thick clumps of tall grass but that was me just going too fast. I thing it is an awesome machine. I live at Delaneys Creek QLD and our local Sherpa dealer Glen Stewart Just lives up the road how convenient, i found Glen to be very Honest and Trustworthy. Wes R

When the going gets tough - call a Sherpa! - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️Our Sherpa 940 XL has done about 70 hours of work now, in tough conditions. It is a genuine workhorse, which doesn't take a backwards step. All steel construction - no plastic. The Sherpa feels safe and comfortable on our steep terrain (Mt Mee, Qld). We are very happy to recommend the service, reliability and courtesy of local Sherpa dealer Glen Stewart of Delaneys Creek Qld. Paul and Liz H

If it's steep you want this - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️We have 140 acres, 25 of which is a hardwood plantation on steep country up to 30 degrees. There are places I simply can't go on a tractor and plenty that make me very nervous. I was sceptical that a 'mower' could cope with the rough terrain, thick understory and do the job. I was very wrong. If you are game it will drive on it and if cut it. There's almost nothing that makes me nervous now. It goes under or around a lot of things that make a full size slasher hard or dangerous. The control is great. Even wet or crumbly grounds is a lot better when you weigh a few hundred kg all up rather than several tons. The only real limitation is that even on the highest cutting you don't have a lot of clearance so you can only cut on country you know there's nothing there to get stuck on or in. Even then you can usually manhandle of off an get on with the job. The tractors have their uses but they are going rusty now. Andrew

Love, Love this mower - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I live on very hilly terain and love this mower. If it wasn't for Sherp (affectionally named) I would have had to leave my property years ago. It has enough grunt to pull a trailer loaded with wood up a steep hill and carry a small tank for spraying herbicides. I could go on and on about this fabulous mower but you get my thoughts. Sherpas and German technology rock! Linda
